I witnessed all three of my older siblings go through Pingree and I saw how much they loved the school environment, and how it allowed them to make supportive and diverse friends. I followed suit and have had just as great of an experience. Pingree strikes a good balance between academic challenge, competitive sports on all levels, and pushing students to try new forms of art. For Me, Pingree uncovered my interest in the performing arts, especially because I was inspired by my older brother and his friend group of musical phenoms, who were pretty much a full-time band on campus. Makerspace Tutor
Pingree offers countless opportunities to be a student leader within the community and pushes their students to apply for these roles. One way to take on a position of leadership is to become a peer tutor in one of six centers: the Writing Center, the Quant Center (for math and science), the Educational Resource Center, the Library Learning Commons, and finally the Makerspace. I joined the Makerspace last year and will be continuing my role next year as well. There are some computer science and 3D design classes in the makerspace, but it is mostly used as a resource for anyone in the community who wants to create a project using our laser-cutter, 3D printers, poster printer, T-shirt press, and much more. While I can certainly help with any computer science questions, my main job consists of helping students and faculty 3D print and poster print.
Varsity Tennis 🎾
This is my favorite team on campus because of how close the ten of us get every year. Being on a smaller team allows us to get to know each other really well and we share many laughs with our unanimous sense of humor. As we have gotten older and developed an impenetrable team chemistry, we have arisen as a serious threat within the EIL (Eastern Independant league). This past year (2024), we made it to the Nepsac Class C semi-final and lost in a nail biter. Our hopes are very high for next season and the near taste of victory has left us hungrier than ever.

🌹Rosebud - School Trip to South Dakota 🌹
The most impactful experience I've had at Pingree, that wasn't actually at Pingree, was going on the school's annual summer trip to the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota. While I could write 100 pages describing my life changing experience on the trip, here is the short version for your sake: Aftering landing in Rapid City, SD, our group drove straight to the badlands to go camping for the night. The next day, we woke up and made our way into the heart of the national park, before leaving for the Rosebud reservation. We stayed at a small campsite called Salt Camp for the next week, which served as our homebase as we scattered to many boys and girls clubs to assist the teachers. The most iconic part of the Rosebud trip is visiting these boys and girls clubs and having no idea what the day will hold. For example, one of the days that I went to the club in Mission, SD, I somehow found myself on a day trip to a massive pool in Lincoln Nebraska. I must have played in the pool with the Rosebud kids for five hours. This page has some highlights from the trip.
